Caramelicious marijuana seeds grow from seed to harvest: FLOWERING

Febuary 24th 2009

Today I noticed that ALL of the Caramelicious plants decided to start their flower cycle early. The light schedule is still on 18 and 6 but they decided to start flowering anyway. I have a very strong feeling that they started to flower because I added that second HPS light. Its not really a bad thing that they started but its difficult to decide whether to keep the lighting system on 18 and 6 or switch them to 12 and 12. But from what I can tell 6 out of the ten are positivly males, two that are positivly females and two that are undeterminable. Heres a picture of one of the confirmed females.

March 1st 2009

We’ve decided to induce the flower cycle and switch the light cycle to 12 and 12. Even though our garden has gotten small due to the presence of a few males, it has gotten larger in size. The plants are starting to really fan out and reach for the light. The two Caramelicious plants that are for sure females look great! They are really bushy and white hairs have appeard everywhere on both of them. The other two Caramelicious that I wasn’t positive about are still not providing me with enough detail to make a mave.

Well its unfortunate to say but the two undetermined Caramelicious plants turned out to be male. So I got two Caramelicious females out of ten. I have to admit that by adding that second HPS light mid way through my veg stage might not of helped my chances of getting females. But now that I have everything together it should be smooth sailing from here on out. However the two Caramelicious females are BEAUTIFUL! They have a wonderful aroma and the foliage is covering the plant. 1 week into the 12 and 12 cycle and theres already buds forming and the leaves are a perfect green color with no yellowingat all.

As usual the plants are doing great and they are filling out really nicely. Here are photos of the Caramelicious ladys I have soaking up their 12 hours of light. There are bud sites all over the plants and everyday there seem to be more and more. Honestly so much changes on a daily occurance its hard to keep track of whats new and what has been there for awhile. Today it has been 2 months and 2 days exactly since we germinated the seeds. The past 2 months have been exciting, but the next month will top that! One of the Caramelicious females is larger in size than the other and it happens to be the one we topped. Which will yeild more?

The Caramelicious have been in their 12 and 12 cycle for only 12 days and they are already forming buds that run up the entire steam of the plant. Each day they use everysecond of their day to grow it seems. They are outgrowing the other plants I put in there with them by alot. Another good thing about this strain is that I didn’t have to make to many trimmings, it basically maintained itself. As you can see both of them are growing rapidly and pushing buds at the same time! With a little over a month and a half left to go until harvest Its hard to say which will produce more and how they will turn out. The aroma is absolutly incrediable and we had to install a charcoal filter just to muffle the odor a little. All in all I am very pleased with how this Caramelicious is growing and cant wait to taste the final product.

Not much to report just wanted to take some photos of these awesome Caramelicious ladies I have here. Both are flowering more than exceptionally and it is a very rapid growing process. If you want to take a picture of something you better because the next day it will look totally different . Overall both Caramelicious look perfect and I really hope things stay that way.

I’m going on a trip for 5 days and my partner is going to be taking care of the ladies for me while I’m gone. We can compare photos when I come back. Here’s photos of the Caramelicious on their 17th day of 12 and 12.

I got home late last night after a week long road trip. The trip was long, but beautiful. I stopped at several dispensaries in both the Bay Area and LA too. The girls were asleep when I got home, so I had to wait until this morning to see them, I could hardly wait. My grow partner took great care of them while I was away. Day 25 into 12/12, and I can't believe how nice they look and they are so easy to grow. My grow partner calls them bullet proof.

April 7th 2009

I know its been awhile since I posted but I had to go on another trip so I wasn’t able to update anything. Right now we are at One month and six days in the 12 and 12 cycle and they are wonderful! Both Caramelicious have gotten very tall, just over 4 feet with the pot. We have about another three weeks until they are ready to be harvested but I wish I could snap my fingers and have em fully cured. Unfortunatly that’s not a possibility so I will struggle with my desire for another three weeks. On the bright side everytime I look at them I’m glad theres three weeks left because they just keep getting bigger and bigger. If you cant tell, both of the Caramelicious are COVERED in trichomes and they are very sticky to the touch.

Today I noticed that the plants were starting to get covered in amber hairs. This is a sign of maturing. The white hairs will change to an orangish amber color letting you know that your on the right track and getting close to the end of the cycle. The plants themselves are still getting bigger but the main growth is focused on the developing buds. Everyday they are a new size and the colas seem to get taller and taller as the days pass. I don’t know if I can take the anticipation anymore, I really want to reap what’s been sown! I will wait though, but not happly!

Ok, sorry I haven't posted for a few days. Sometimes it doesn't seem like they change much and there's nothing new to post, but in looking at the pictures, I guess I can see the changes in their development. This is at 6 and 1/2 weeks into 12/12. I did just a small amount of trimming but this will be the last time I trim the plants before harvest.

The leaves on the Caramelicious starting to turn yellow as they use all the nitrogen they have stored up to produce as much flower as possible. This is the time when the plant actually pushes itself as hard as it can to max itself out. Were at a month and 18 days and basically only have 2 weeks left before its all over! It has been an awesome ride and they really are easy to grow. I’m glad I chose this strain and cant wait to see the total outcome!
